The students at our school come from a variety of backgrounds and come into the classroom, at times, with very little background knowledge! Providing opportunities to broaden their experiences will affect these students for a lifetime. Being able to bring experiences into the classroom is truly meaningful for each and every student I work with.
Our student body comes from a variety of ethnic backgrounds with about 50% Hispanic, 35% Caucasian, and 15% Black.
This diversity truly adds to our school environment and provides many learning opportunities for both students and staff. Now that we are using more technology in the classroom and through distant learning I want to provide supplies and experiences for all of my students no matter what learning platform we are using at the time.
My Project
There are resources that my students need in the classroom. I provide them with pencils daily and they need a way to sharpen them. They use visual resources to help aid them in solving mathematical problems involving positive and negative numbers.
By donating to this project you will be helping me provide my students with the resources and visual aids that they will use on a daily basis.
These resources will help students complete everyday tasks within the classroom and also not have to worry about if they are able to bring their own supplies to school or not each day.
