Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Leader in Me school. We strive to have every child find the leader in them. Each student brings different leadership qualities to the school, and it shows throughout the school day. Our school is also a Title I school. This means all of our students receive free or reduced lunches. Students love to show their leadership qualities in my classroom while doing their jobs, classwork and helping each other and their teachers.

In my school, there are 540 students from various diverse backgrounds with diverse needs.

The languages spoken at our school include English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, and many more. We also have special education students, as well as gifted.

My Project

My students will use the age appropriate stools to sit more comfortably in groups with me. This will allow them to be able to focus on the activities and lessons when they can sit more comfortably. The ink will allow my students to print out the text they are reading, as well as activities and resources for projects they are working on to support their learning.

These materials will help my take a more proactive role in their learning.

I often see my students fidgeting in their seats because they cannot become comfortable. Ink has become more expensive for how much we print in my classroom and I want my students to be able to continue taking responsibility for their learning.
