One of my favorite moments was watching a group of emerging readers use the materials to practice vocabulary through a matching and storytelling activity. They were so excited to use tools that felt \"new\" and \"special,\" and it really encouraged them to take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nMany of them immediately started exploring the items with curiosity, asking questions, and sharing ideas about how they could use them. Their enthusiasm made it clear that these resources will have a lasting impact on their engagement and confidence.\r\n\r\nRight now, students are working on building their reading fluency and expanding their academic vocabulary. The next step is for them to begin applying these new skills in short reading passages and collaborative discussions. The resources provided through this project will continue to support them as they practice, grow, and gain independence.","fullyFundedDate":1760404457218,"projectUrl":"project/reading-writing-and-speaking-with-mult/9823619/","projectTitle":"Reading, Writing, and Speaking With Multilingual Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Foster","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7654782_orig.png?crop=394,394,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1606781732143","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7654782"},{"teacherId":8020511,"projectId":9464386,"letterContent":"I appreciate your help with our Connecting to the World around us project. Your contribution has transformed our classroom into a more focused, engaging, and comfortable space where students can thrive in their language learning journey.\r\nTechnology plays a crucial role in modern education, and with your support, our students are now able to immerse themselves in language learning like never before. The headphones allow them to engage with interactive listening activities, practice pronunciation, and follow along with language programs without distractions. These tools are particularly valuable for multilingual learners who benefit from clear, individualized audio experiences. The addition of comfort cushions has also improved their ability to stay engaged and focused, making learning more enjoyable and productive.\r\nThe excitement among our students has been amazing! They love how the headphones provide crisp, clear sound, helping them better understand accents and pronunciation. The ability to control their own listening experience—pausing, replaying, and practicing at their own pace—has made learning more accessible and fun. Meanwhile, the comfort cushions have turned our classroom into a more inviting space where students feel relaxed and ready to learn.\r\nOne student, who previously struggled to focus due to classroom noise, now confidently participates in listening activities thanks to the clarity of the new headphones. Another student, who found it difficult to sit for long periods, has been able to concentrate much better with the added comfort of the cushions. These seemingly small changes have made a world of difference in their learning experience, and we are seeing remarkable progress in their engagement and confidence.\r\nBecause of you, our students are not only learning a new language—they are doing so with enthusiasm, comfort, and confidence.
