My Project

Somatosensory regulation is a theory of how rhythmic activities open up the cortex and make the reasoning part of the brain more accessible for learning. I'm sure many of you remember blaring your favorite music while working on your homework. I used to play "London Calling" by The Clash while I worked on Algebra, which may explain why I teach English. Here's the deal -- I was doing it wrong. The trick is to listen to instrumental music, which brings me to my project. Students often ask if they can listen to music when they write, and I tell them as long as it's instrumental and not played too loud. The problem is they don't have headphones. This is a project that was funded a little over a year ago and worked very well however some of the headphones have been damaged, lost, or maybe even... well you know. I threw in some other supplies that I need for the classroom that I usually pay for out of my own pocket. As always thanks for even considering, donors. We'd be lost without you.
