Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious, determined, and full of potential my students are. They come to class each day ready to try, even when math feels challenging. Many of them are building not only their academic skills but also their confidence and independence. What makes my students special is their resilience and willingness to grow, even when resources are limited. They support each other, stay engaged, and always strive to do their best. With the right tools, I know they can achieve even more.

This project is all about giving them what they need to succeed.

The scientific and basic calculators will help students work through math problems more confidently, whether they're just starting with basic operations or diving into more advanced topics like algebra and geometry. Foam dice will make learning interactive and fun, encouraging participation and deeper understanding through games and group work. The tennis ball chair covers will reduce noise in the classroom, creating a calmer and more focused space, especially for students with sensory needs. Colored paper and white copy paper will allow me to create engaging visuals and activities that support different learning styles. A bean bag chair will give students a cozy space to refocus when they need a break. And the bulk pack of pre-sharpened pencils ensures that no student misses out on learning time because they don't have a basic tool.

My goal is to build a classroom environment where every student has what they need to feel confident, stay focused, and enjoy learning math.
