Solid Geometry Manipulatives

Help me give my students different tools to better understand 2-D cross sections and how they build 3-D shapes, and how that applies to volume.

My Project

My students tend to struggle with visualization of shapes, and by having physical shapes that they can look at and compare they will not need to imagine cross sections, they can physically see what happens when you stack cross sections and build the outcome of cutting 3-D shapes to find cross sections.

I have also found the manipulatives helpful in explaining volumes, and how prisms and pyramids relate to each other, but at the moment I just have one set of shapes that are old and falling apart!
