This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In attempts to create and grow strong Softball program where students athletics want to come and participate. I would love for my girls to look like a team. I will not be able to get new uniforms so I figure something small like team bags will go along way in creating a sense of belonging.

These young ladies are truly amazing.

First they are students at the top of their class but what makes them special is the efforts that they put in after class in the softball field. They come from low social-economic background yet you would never know by meeting them.

My Project

These baseball and softball backpacks will first and for most make it practical to get from game to game with their equipment. In years passed these girls have carried their bags in backpacks, plastic bags or simply in their hand. But what these bags will also do is make them look like a team. Being young teenage girls how they look when they go to different schools is important. This will go along way with their self esteem.

My girls will truly see the good will of others.

I will encourage them from the start that they will someday have to pay it forward. My goal is for them to be encouraged by the charity of others and they will be the type of people that give back.
