Students are learning essential college-level skills, including how to dissect dense primary sources, evaluate historical arguments, and structure Document-Based Questions (DBQs). On any given day, reading looks like focused study groups using our new highlighters and sticky notes to annotate document sets, map out thematic timelines, and actively debate historical perspectives with growing confidence.\r\n\r\nBeyond the academic rigor, your gift has fundamentally enriched our daily classroom culture. The addition of board games has turned my room into a warm, welcoming haven during lunch. Students who previously felt isolated or overwhelmed by the school day now gather around tables, strategizing, laughing, and building genuine friendships. It offers our hard-working AP students a much-needed mental break while giving students across different social circles a safe, inclusive space to connect and unwind together.\r\n\r\nMany of my AP students initially felt anxious about facing a rigorous college-level exam without the financial means to buy expensive test prep materials. Seeing their relief and excitement when handed brand-new review books was unforgettable. Combined with the everyday comfort of having basic essentials like tissues and markers readily available, you have provided my students with a space where they feel truly cared for and capable of succeeding.
