My Project

I teach a group of amazing 3-5 year old students with developmental delay and autism. Over the last year I have seen a huge increase in students who are struggling with self-regulation and the need for items to help them work through their big emotions. Each student has different needs and many of our students will need more than 1 tool to help them. These skills are worked on through play, books and sensory materials. The books will allow me to work on teaching social skills during whole group. The dramatic play toys will allow students to build upon their social skills through play- while working on turn taking, waiting and social communication l.
