Help me give my students games like the Emotional Intelligence and Social Skills Game that will help them bring abstract topics to life. The library of books by Julia Cook will also help my students be their best.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are learning how to be problem solvers and masters of social skills. I am a school counselor who teaches social emotional lessons daily to students in grades K-4.
They are lively and energetic.
They are curious and bold. They are from mixed socioeconomic conditions and from varied family structures. More than 20% of them are being raised by a grandparent. Their success in life will be driven not by their academic knowledge but by their character traits. They are the future.
Together we unpack common social skills and talk in detail about impulse control, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.
My Project
The days of lecturing while students sit quietly are their desks are long gone. Education today is innovative, it is exciting, it is interactive. These games will allow students to practice emotional intelligence and social skills with guided support and feedback. The books will support their educational growth by bringing abstract topics like "perseverance" to life. The children learn so much through educational games and by playing them I can have all 30 students actively engaged in their emotional growth at the same time versus one person talking and everyone else struggling to sit quietly. We are building the citizens of tomorrow and my goal is that they all learn the character traits they'll need for wherever their futures take them.
