My Students

Albert Einstein once said, "I am neither clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious." I believe Einstein's curiosity was a gift that helped the world discover his cleverness. He continues to inspire people to find their own curiosity. I am the proud teacher of 28 very curious students who are eagerly waiting to discover their great potential.

My goal is to stoke the curiosity flame of my students through hands-on learning STEM activities that will help my students engage appropriately with one another and build their underdeveloped social skills.

When COVID hit, and schools moved online, my students were in first grade. This is a pivotal time for students to learn important social skills such as teamwork, communication, and sharing. Because they were isolated for the end of their first-grade year and socially distanced for their entire second-grade year, their social development has been severely impacted.

When students are able to experience hands-on activities and engage with curiosity in appropriate ways together, they learn these important social skills. I hope inspiring students through curiosity with engaging STEM activities, will help build their social skills that were impacted during COVID.

My Project

My goal is to use the STEM Lego sets and the Emotion Lego set to help students identify their emotions, work together to solve problems, and build their social and emotional well-being. I believe through these engaging activities, students can learn to communicate with each other, learn to share, and learn to recognize their emotions and the emotions of others in order to build a strong, productive learning environment.
