I have had many students tell me they love reading now because they can see in their minds what is happening in the story.\r\n\r\nThe books and listening center has greatly impacted my low students. They usually are not able to participate in the same reading activities as the on level or high students. However, with these books and listening center, they are able to participate because someone is reading it to them. All of my students scores have grown because of this. \r\n\r\nFinally, we were able to get books to help the class understand our 10 c's that we have as a school (compassion, character, citizenship, community, critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, confidence, courage). These books have helped all the students be able to see what each of those mean in a kid friendly way.","fullyFundedDate":1727103750053,"projectUrl":"project/4th-graders-today-readers-tomorrow/8562408/","projectTitle":"4th Graders Today, Readers Tomorrow!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Borwegen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3833190"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_127343","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":782,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":16,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":73,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":18,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.9,"schoolId":127343,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Silver Lake Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Silver Lake Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/alpine-school-district/silver-lake-elementary-school/127343"}
