Social Emotional Sensory Slippers

Help me give my students slippers to increase their sense of belonging and support their social emotional being at school.

My Project

Slippers are obviously a consumable item. Last year I was able to provide slippers to every single student in my classroom and it was an absolute GAME CHANGER. They loved their slippers. Many students would put them on the second they got to school and wear them the entire day. It provided a sense of home and comfort at school. It also supported many of their sensory needs. Not only did their social emotional learning grow because they were able to be comfortable and connected to our classroom, but it also kept our room clean. We go out for recess in the winter and if students only have tennis shoes, this allows them to not be in their wet shoes for the remainder of the day. My students love the slippers and it supports our classroom community and learning.
