This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Help me give my students resources and materials we can use in our social-emotional learning time. I want to be able to read stories to them that shed light on topics like diversity, kindness, and bravery. I want to be able to have lessons with my older students on kindness and perseverance. Often we expect our students to be well-behaved and know right from wrong. However we as educators need to model that behavior for them.
Our students need help learning social-emotional skills and coping techniques.
These books and various resources will allow me to reach my whole school community and present our students with these important skills.
