Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom consists of up to 24 energetic, curious, and imaginative TK students! My students come to school ready to learn and are very excited to be learning in the classroom with their peers.

Our school population is made up of 80% English Language Learners, and we are a Title I school.

Despite all the hardships in their home and school life, my students are eager learners.

My Project

Dramatic play helps children imagine the impossible, role-play the day-to-day goings-on in a community, and develop executive functioning skills as they plan and sequence, grow their social relationship skills and have fun!

Dramatic play is an essential component to developing social-emotional skills.

In this center, students develop their math skills by counting fruits and vegetables, learning to communicate with peers, building vocabulary, and learning problem-solving.

Our current kitchen/kitchen supplies are extremely worn, old, and broken. I have tried to repair many items over the years. However, some items are no longer usable.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
