This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Books are the most powerful way for students to engage with challenging topics, especially when it comes to social-emotional learning! When students are removed from the situation and see that these challenging situations are things that affect all kids they are able to engage in more meaningful ways and recognize when and how it affects them.

Julia Cook writes some of the most relatable, approachable books about topics that are challenging to discuss which our students absolutely love to read!

Help us continue to grow our library of SEL books to navigate all of the challenges our students face.
