Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are amazing, capable, and are willing to make an effort every day. These items will allow them to utilize more tools to build their resiliency, social emotional learning, and overall self-awareness. We strive to provide a safe space for students to access all the resources that they can get. We actively encourage students to strive for success, however we know sometimes they have bad days and could use some extra support. These items will assist our Care Team/Student Support Team to provide them with the wraparound services that they need; whether it be an encouraging sticker, fidget, or an SEL workbook activity/game.
Depending on the students' needs, the best way we hope to utilize these items will be one-on-one with students, in a group setting, or in a classroom setting - we meet students where they are so that they can learn how to self-regulate no matter the setting.
The Care Team/Student Support Team strives to connect students with various ways to help them succeed, both academically and emotionally. We are looking forward to the possibility of implementing these items into our daily routine with our students.
