This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Based on recent data, our students' self-evaluations show that their social emotional skills are not where we want them to be. While this negatively impacts their ability to learn and succeed academically, it's also just not okay for kids to be suffering emotionally and mentally regardless of the additional "consequences" of that. I want to provide my kids with a bundle of highly-reviewed SEL resources that I hope will help them become more emotionally and mentally healthy.

These activities will help students strengthen their supportive relationships, social awareness, self-management, and self-efficacy.

I believe that the long-lasting impacts of this kind of personal growth can be truly life-changing!
