This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Having these supplies will enable me to give my students who need it, more guidance and strategies. They will also help those who need to regulate, an area to do so in the classroom.
Oftentimes it can be as easy as a snack, a quiet place, or a sensory tool.
Other times it may be giving them a special designated space to draw with markers and be creative to help release their emotional struggles. My students are of all ages and come from all different backgrounds. Many need different tools for coping. By having these things on this list, I will be able to provide my students and other students with the tools and resources they need.
