My Students

My students are very quick! They are hard workers and have developed a real love for paperwork this year. They have started independent reading at school and love to have time to investigate their new world of books. However; I have concerns with this year's lack of social skills and also their emotional development.

My Project

The students have had a difficult time transitioning to the classroom from the lack of social interaction. They need to learn how to act and react in public places as well as learn how to interact with one another. I am hoping to build a soft area in my classroom to help the students enjoy the quietness of home while bridging the gap to the social interaction they now are learning everyday in the classroom. These supplies will greatly help them to be able to have a good transition from the extra time they have spent at home.
