My school qualifies as a Title I school, and many students see our school and staff as a safe space during the day. I am grateful to be a part of our regulation space at our school.
The two SEL resources selected from Lakeshore, making good choices match-ups and match & sort, will be of great use in our SEL groups we have on a daily basis with our students.
Emotional and sensory regulation is a big part of what our program supports students with inside and outside of our classroom. The weighted stuffed bear, turtle, and the sequence lap pad will help us support meeting our students' needs. The LED lights will also be a great addition to our space as we would love to add softer and calm colors into our space for our students.
My goal for this project is being able to expand our program using these resources with our students. This will help to positively encourage them to use their knowledge of how to use their regulation tools both inside and out of the classroom, like at home, as well.
