Social Distancing and Disinfecting in Prek

My Students

My Prek students come from various areas in NYC. Most are from the East Harlem area, we have some from The Bronx and Queens. The parents and students are so excited to start school. We have a great collaboration with the community and school. The students love to explore the areas of NYC especially Central Park! The students at our school are energetic and empathetic. Our Prek program grows using Social Emotional Learning!

My Project

During this new normal we have to think outside the box. We want to create the classroom environment that mimics the usual classroom. We also want to make sure that we are able to properly clean and sanitize the materials and tools that will be in the classroom. Our student's health is our top priority.

We want our youngest learners to experience school safely and have fun!

We want surfaces, toys and tools that can be easily sanitized. This will help the children have a regular school experience during these irregular times!
