My Students
My student-athletes are so excited to begin their inaugural soccer season! Our school has never had an official soccer team before and these students deserve the absolute best because they are the absolute best. My student athletes have an extremely high work ethic, both in the classroom and on the soccer team! They show amazing sportsmanship and are leaders in the school. I am so proud of the growth they have shown during soccer club and I cannot wait to witness their zest and passion once we can finally play games outdoors for this spring season!
My student athletes will be part the first ever co-ed soccer team at my school and they deserve a season to remember!
I have been fortunate enough to work with many different age levels through after school programming and tutoring so I can honestly say these young men and women are truly special. I am inspired daily by all of the obstacles they overcome and how kind they are to one another. I have seen them blossom into confident and caring students this year alone and have thoroughly enjoyed working with them for soccer club!
My Project
I have been fortunate enough to be selected to coach the inaugural soccer team at my school during the Spring season! We have been so blessed with donations of shin guards and soccer balls but since this is the first season EVER that my school has offered soccer as an official team sport, we do not have any soccer gear to wear as we travel from school to school for games. These jackets will help during soccer practice for those students that do not have a Spring or athletic jacket.
These athletic appropriate jackets and matching socks will help students look and feel like an official team, which I know will translate into feeling a sense of pride for our school!
We will be practicing outdoors every Monday and Friday and students will be participating in games each Tuesday and Thursday beginning in April. Indiana weather is known for its unpredictability so we would be super blessed to have jackets available in case of inclement or chilly weather. We really appreciate you donating to our soccer team! Our co-ed soccer team will consist of eighteen 4th and 5th grade young men and women, many of whom are playing soccer for the first time ever! Having a soccer team at our school will increase engagement in athletics and will allow students to try a new sport. It will also allow them to increase their confidence and cooperation as they truly become a team!
