This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students get to learn about all different sorts of things they don't realize quite yet while they are learning about the game of Soccer. They end up learning about geometry, history, and teamwork throughout the unit.

Once my students start realizing they're incorporating math, science, and history into one of their favorite sports to play, their faces light up with joy how everything is connected.

They get to have a blast playing soccer, and they also get to learn without noticing at first.

My Project

Having enough soccer balls for my classroom is key so each student can get maximum time practicing their skills. This will allow groups of 2-3 students using one ball which will allow for optimum practice during class.

The smaller goals are used as a way to allow a small number of students to practice playing a smaller game to focus on their skills.

The smaller games with smaller goals allows students to hone in on their skills and also allow them to have more fun than a large game with the entire class. When they are divided into smaller teams, not only do they get more practice, but also have more fun.
