Mr. Robino from New Orleans LA is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 18 soccer balls, a set of cones so they can practice keeping the ball within a space, and nets to kick the balls into.

Remember when you were in school and looked forward to having that time to run around and play sports? Every student needs a little bit of time each day to play and let it all out. We have a brand-new, beautiful gym which we use for PE, but no equipment.
At KIPP, the Knowledge is Power Program, we are on a mission to build Growth, Love and Excellence in all of our young scholars beginning in Kindergarten all the way to-and-through college!
We instill not only education, but the character skills necessary for our students to be active members of our New Orleans community. As a third year school, we are finally in our home with 275, K-2 students, growing 1 grade level and roughly 100 students each year. Our kids love coming to PE, are extremely energetic, and very eager to participate in any/all activities I have planned. Having their own gym allows them to get the most out of the PE experience, while remaining safe in the process.
In my PE class, I teach my young athletes balance, motor coordination, and the fundamentals of popular sports. It is a joyous part of day because my kids can get that extra energy out and truly express themselves in a safe, constructive environment. The addition of soccer equipment, balls, goals, and cones, will enable my 275 athletes to have a 9-week unit on all that is soccer! We will learn rules, passing, dribbling, stopping, and shooting!
The addition of soccer equipment will enable our kids to learn about and practice a sport they might not have had an opportunity to do previously.
For our students who have soccer experience, it is an opportunity for them to sharpen and build upon their skills. No matter the experience, all of my athletes will benefit from your generosity.
