Hi, this is my 30th year teaching in one of our inner-city schools. I absolutely love my school and my position; this is the best career I could ever dream of. Students in my school all receive free breakfast and lunch and are eager to learn. Our school teaches children in grades pre-k through fifth grade and we want to provide as many educational, hands-on activities and projects as we can.
I teach a summer STEM camp as well as an after school STEM club and part of my passion is to teach students how to fly mini drones as well as give them activities to use during recess: a soccer ball, a football, a Spikeball roundnet set and catch/pass games.
Without your help, I wouldn't have the resources needed to have such amazing summer and after school programs. Giving students these extra opportunities to learn, explore and have fun outside of the school day and school year is extremely important to their academic and social emotional growth. Our students appreciate everything and I can't wait for our students to explore the ocean!
