Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a therapist in training, I am learning something new every day! This includes having students that are dysgraphic, which is why I am requesting books that will better help me understand dysgraphia. As the year is progressing I am also having more students qualify for dyslexia therapy. With each new student that qualifies I will be able to begin servicing them and teaching them how to embrace their reading disability and use strategies to help them decode words and really begin to read.

Unlocking the reading mystery for these students is just the beginning of their reading journey and learning how to embrace their gift of dyslexia.

The supplies I am requesting will allow me to start a new group and have everything that groups needs displayed. Each group has a different thing they are working on and having them separated will help keep things organized and these boards will help do just that! The magnets will allow me to make everything I show the students into magnets so I can keep them last longer. Markers are always needed to continue to write the preparation for each lesson. The organizers will help me keep the decks of diagraphs, trigraphs, combinations, diphthongs, and vowels organized for each new group. Our program is very systematic and explicit and these supplies will help me execute it to the best of my ability to get these students soaring to new heights in no time!
