Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year will be the third year of aviation club at our school. What started as a Master’s project to introduce aviation to young students and minorities, has become a thriving aviation club.

Students learn about aviation through curriculum by the FAA and NASA organization.

During the year students learn the aviation alphabet, how to make a radio call, as well as learn about the history of space and aviation through virtual field trips.

These students are special because they represent different backgrounds. Without this club, they would not know about the countless opportunities in aviation.
