Help! I'm a seventh grade math teacher conducting classes in an old home economics room with an abundance of sinks and cabinets located all around the room. My room has one very small chalkboard which has seen much better days. It can usually only accommodate one or two math examples, very short ones. Students love going to the "board" and showing me and their fellow students the methods they use to complete problems but this is not possible with the limited space. I would love to get one or two very large portable dry erase boards where I can explain the mathematical process of a problem or have my students come up and show off their hard work. There is no wall space in the room for a mounted chalk board because of the built in cabinets that are located on 3 of the 4 walls. The Windows take up the 4th wall of the room. Again, I am requesting 1 or 2 very large dry erase boards mounted on wheels. A portable chalkboard would serve the same purpose but would not have the same lure that drawing with markers do for children! With the NYS 7th grade math exam looming just ahead in March, this would be a wonderful teaching tool for my classroom. Thank you for your time and attention!
