Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my school come from families who struggle to make ends meet. Most of my students are English Language Learners. All they want is a place to feel safe and to learn!
My students are curious and eager to explore the world around them and bring such life to the school day.
In my classroom they are historians and mathematicians, readers and writers; they are scientists and explorers. There might be some dancers and soccer players too! Their dreams are as big as their imaginations.
My Project
These bins will be used to organize the classroom library so students can spend less time "shopping" for books and more time engaged in reading! They will be able to find what they are looking for quickly, and put books away quickly when they are finished.
These colored bins will be organized by genre to help students pick out their favorite types of books.
We have been so lucky to have other Donors' Choose projects get us books that we are excited about. I want them to have a clean and organized place to go so that those books will be read and enjoyed by as many students as possible.
