This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students, parent and school social workers have made staff aware that they have difficulty with basic hygiene needs and lack the access for basic laundry resources.at their place of residence. We have received a donation for a washer and dryer allowing staff to perform laundry services here at school, and we are seeking laundry supplies to assist us in our endeavor. (Laundry Detergent, Bleach, Scent booster and Dryer Sheets).

Students feel their best when they do not have to worry about what they are lacking at home.

Providing clean clothing and bedding helps boost self-esteem and as a result boosts school attendance.
