My Students

I'm blessed to work at a special education center school for students in grades K-12. Our amazing program is located in Michigan. We serve students with a wide variety of psychiatric, cognitive, and behavioral needs. We serve students from our entire city.

Our school has thirty-seven beautiful young people with varying strengths and weaknesses.

Their backgrounds are as diverse as their abilities.

We are all unique, but we are definitely a family here.

My Project

Fresh pants and t-shirts are one of the most commonly requested items in our hygiene closet. We need clean clothes, for variety of reasons, daily. Belts are another item that students often request to help them feel comfortable at school.

Hygiene items are the most commonly requested classroom item by students.

Our students often need fresh pants not only due to toileting issues, but also due to lunchtime complications, occasional excitement with art assignments, struggles at home with utilities, or tearing clothing. Pants are at a premium in our building! We are requesting 40 pairs of sweatpants as well as several packs of t-shirts, and belts to assist us this year with meeting our student's need for feeling fresh and clean, so they can learn and feel their best! We appreciate your consideration!
