This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
It has come to my attention that a lot of my students are in need of personal hygiene products. We have discussed bodily functions in our Biology class and some students have stated that they don't have certain supplies that they need at home to take care of themselves.
I would like to create a personal hygiene cabinet in our classroom, so that students would be able to take what they need.
It is important to me that my students feel clean and comfortable while at school. Bulling is an epidemic in high school; I would hate for any of my students to be teased due to a certain personal hygiene matter that is out of their control.
I would also like to provide disinfecting supplies and air freshener to keep the room smelling clean and conducive to learning.
