Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am fortunate enough to co-teach the most wonderful second grade children at our school. They are vibrant hardworking learners that need a structured safe place to learn. Since Covid, we had to throw away many of our older well used items, one being some of our rugs. I am currently co-teaching in a shared classroom space that houses not only my second graders but also other kinder and first grade students learning reading or math in small group interventions throughout the day.

Help my students stay safe and in their learning spot with this large, comfortable, organized classroom rug.

Currently, my students and other students through out the day share an old blue rug in our learning space which makes it more difficult to manage since students do not have a defined learning space. The rug I chose allows our students to choose a safe spot to sit on which minimize classroom management issues that may arise by not having their own learning spaces.

Our room is a second home to our children and they often express how much they enjoy coming into school. We hope this donation will help bring them closer to more comfort. I am looking forward to having this rectangular rug to help my students and other first and kindergarten students that use our room see a clear definition of their space to stay focused and learn.
