My students need a designated place to come together as a class to enjoy learning, that is the purpose of any classroom rug. Right now we don't have one, please consider helping us get a rug.
To tell you about my students means telling you how much they deserve in this life. These children are living and growing in a Title I school where our budget has been cut and will likely be cut next year. What does that mean for us specifically? It means we need your help to provide materials for our classroom.
We are becoming Champions!
This group of children has taken on the idea that with each day of school we are one step closer to "becoming a champion!" Each student has a daily goal and is learning to hold themselves accountable for their education. It is my duty to provide materials and a comfortable space for learning to take place.

My Project
This project is very meaningful to me as a teacher! I strive to bring my students together and develop a great sense of classroom community and friendship. We have been doing this all year without a classroom rug but I feel like a new carpet would be the final touch to make our classroom space feel more together.
My students want this classroom rug to have a comfortable space to sit and listen to lessons and stories.
They want to be able to come together and focus on their learning. They want to have a space that our room is centered around with enough space for each student.
At the moment we use duck tape to mark a general perimeter for students to find a spot at, how amazing would it be to replace that with a beautiful rug where everyone can sit comfortably together?!
