Snug as a Bug in a Rug

Help me give my students a carpet to accomodate their growing bodies. Fifth graders still love story time and circle time but we have run out of room! Items for organization and a refresh of supplies are needed.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students love learning, asking questions, and enjoying time together. While they are blossoming into tweens preparing for middle school, they are still little kids! I want to continue encouraging their child like wonder and sweetness all year.

Big kids still love story time on the carpet!

Read alouds, looking at pictures, and discussing the story is special for all children. However, fifth graders have bigger bodies and they are in need of a large, cozy carpet to accomodate them comfortably.

Our classroom would also benefit from the bins for horizontal organization. This will help us maximize our space but have a place for everything and everything in it's place! Refreshing our white boards and expo markers would also be helpful.
