Help me give my students indoor recess activities to engage in fun and exercise.

In our low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. I'm looking to provide an active classroom and healthy habits to overcome some of those challenges. I want to make sure my students have everything they need to be successful in school.
My students need opportunities to move during indoor recess to help keep them engaged in learning.
This digital age kids are growing up in does not always allow a lot of time for students to be physically active. Many students spend their time on tablets, phones, or playing video games which doesn't allow for much physical activity. This is even more true of my students who often live in areas where it is not safe to play outdoors. Many behaviors my students exhibit are often a result of a lack of substantial activity. Providing my students time to use their youthful energy helps to eliminate many behaviors and stay focused. Recess is a popular student time. They love to get up and get moving. Providing a fun and engaging pastime will allows my students to increase their time on task, have fun, and increase learning.
Winter in Wisconsin does allow for a lot of time outside, especially on our playground, which receives a limited amount of sun during the day. So while the weather may be warmer, our playground is often covered in snow and ice preventing students from playing outdoors well into March or sometimes even April.
“Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood.”-Andy Goldsworthy.
Students are not allowed to throw snowballs at each other on the playground even though we know it can be a lot of fun. However, students can have "safe" snowball fight by providing them with soft "snowballs" in the classroom. Students learn how to engage in a safe, fun activity in which all students can participate. These activities also provide students with an opportunity to get moving, increase their blood flow, and help break up the monotony of winter. When students are provided physical activity time throughout the school day, they become productive and focused when it is time to learn, helping them to be more successful in school.
