This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am an elementary teacher in an urban school district in Wisconsin. Currently, 100% of our students receive free lunch. I am privileged to teach in a school with an 18:1 student to teacher ratio class. Our mission is to help students achieve high standards and to increase learning opportunities for all students, preparing them to be independent thinkers and lifelong learners.
My school has a focus on student-led learning through games.
My students come to school excited to see what is planned for the day and look forward to the engaging lessons I have planned. With help from you, my students will have all the resources they need to be scholars.
My Project
I would love to do more art with my students. Many of my students want to express themselves through art and I do not have the necessary supplies. I plan to teach a new at lesson every Friday so my students can learn about masters in Art and recreate some of their works of art.
With your generosity I will be able to provide my students with supplies to let their creativity bloom.
I would like multi-cultural paint colors, large easel paper, and neon paper for the projects that I have in mind. The printer ink will allow students to create digital art and bring it to life. My students will be extremely grateful with any supplies they are provided. Please consider helping my class.
