My Students

My students are part of the modern media communications magnet program. We specialize in integrating 21st-century skills within our math and science curriculum. One project we are working on is kid blogging and publishing student work into text. With a diverse magnet population, our sixth-grade team serves students from East, South, North, and West Los Angeles. We are excited to partner with local media industries in our community to help bring learning to life. Through relevant programming, children are challenged and engaged to participate in written, and oral communication.

Please support my class to become 21st-century learners and leaders!

My Project

My students are fortunate to have a full classroom set of science materials for upcoming lab experiments. Unfortunately, boxes are delivered without any way for storage or easy access to utilize science lab equipment. My students are ready to get to hands-on learning. Without adequate storage, I have nowhere to place new science equipment.

Access to science materials are necessary for hands-on learning, projects, lab experiments, and future science projects.

Students need organizing bins, labeled, and easy to access for upcoming experiments. I am hoping to use the black crates to help store science texts and books. I will use the black plastic bins to organize science tools like thermometers, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, clay, rulers, and other science tools needed for experiments. The larger bin will be used to organize thematic unit experiments i.e. sand, dirt, for our ecosystems unit.
