My Project

As a teacher in a low-income school district, I recognize that my students are faced with challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to encourage their learning experiences in the classroom.

Fifth graders are still fun, fabulous, and fantastic!

Learning is what we are all about. Our 5th graders are eager to learn but face challenges with remaining focused without appropriate movement. The connection and happiness as students learn are​ thrilling to see as a teacher. Our little learning Hornets are top-notch students and are embracing the rigorous tasks set before them.

My Project

STEM projects are becoming more and more intriguing for my students. They have had minimum exposure to engineering experiences. Our school recently acquired a STEM-focused lab but being able to visit is limited.

It is evident that technology is a transformational opportunity and encourages students to be creative and build leadership.

Circuitry kits will help my 5th grades students develop a critical understanding of how computer technology is developed, and how circuitry applies it to their everyday lives. These kits provide experiences for various outcomes. I want my students to be eager to learn and feel that these will supplement our learning.
