My students need a digital camera and batteries to bring laughter and art to their classrooms.

My Students

The students in our school are predominately from the rural poverty-stricken community where our school is centrally located.

My students witnessed the loss of our school last year and can now see the construction process at work.

We don't have a lot of opportunity to travel due the distance from most events but with a camera we can document the construction of our school, the smiles on our faces and the warmth in our hearts can be put into words.

My Project

As we watch the construction of our new building, the students are full of questions. Obviously the students are not allowed to get close to the construction site but by making photos, I can provide them with progress and we can in turn use the photos to put our own dreams on paper.

I have requested a Digital Camera and batteries to use to help document the building of our new school, the events in our school that will allow the students to see themselves in print and help students harness their own artistic abilities.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
