My Students

We are 24 brilliant scholars attending a high poverty, Title I elementary school. We are eager to learn, and we crave the stability and routine of a healthy school environment. We are engaged in our learning and are striving to become lifelong learners.

We come from many diverse backgrounds and cultures, and each of us brings a unique and important perspective to our classroom.

We treasure our friendships in teamwork and work hard to build on many important social skills that will help us as we build relationships in the future.

My Project

Remember when you would go to kindergarten in the morning and get to go home at lunchtime? The days of half-day kindergarten are over, and kindergartners now attend school all day. Kindergartners face the challenge of staying engaged and on-task during a long, full school day. It is very difficult to stay focused on learning when you have an empty stomach.

Snacks such as crackers, fruit snacks, chips, cookies, nuts, and candy can provide many nutrients and minerals that a growing kindergartner needs between meals.

Snacks will help my students' brains and bodies get the extra boost that they need to do their very best in our classroom during their long school day.
