This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have an amazing group of third graders who are very eager to learn! Creating a happy, healthy, and clean learning environment is very important. Access to healthy snacks and some essential cleaning supplies are vital for their physical and emotional well-being; this project will provide just that.

I want to make sure that my students have what they need in order to be safe, healthy, and successful.

The requested supplies of Kleenex tissues, sanitizing wipes, hand soap, and paper towels will aid my students in taking ownership of their health and wellness. Cleaning their hands often and keeping their desks clean are going to be very important to having a healthy classroom. Learning, practicing, and reinforcing proper hygiene techniques will promote healthy habits and help keep everyone safe.

Covid, flu, RSV, and strep are all on the rise this season. I want to keep my students healthy with an air purifier, air diffuser, and hand vacuum. These valuable tools will help to remove pollutants, allergens, and germs from the carpet and the classroom air.

Students learn best when they have fewer worries. Food insecurity can really affect a student's ability to focus and learn to their fullest potential. Many times, students come to school without eating and have a hard time focusing on their learning. Having snacks on-hand will help to curb “growling” tummies. These healthy snacks will provide energy, as well as keep the students focused and alert.
