Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students with specific learning challenges have many road blocks that can affect their progress in school.

Any roadblocks that I can help remove in the classroom will increase their chances for success.

Hunger should never be a roadblock for any student.

Having snacks for my students not only helps to give them literal "food for thought," but it also makes them feel important and cared for.

Building rapport with my students by keeping their bellies full, will go a long way in feeding their brains as well. They also need all the necessary supplies to succeed. For example, they need calculators to assist them with their math. I use tickets as incentives for positive behaviors in the classroom and the snacks will be just enough to keep them focused.
