This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Imagine walking into a fourth-grade classroom, and the only thing you have is the clothes on your back! How would you feel? Few students come in with snacks. Most depend on the teacher to supply them, and that is not always possible. Now imagine walking into a classroom and there is a snack in a share bin at the front of the class, so you do not have to worry about your stomach rumbling while you work.
It is tough for adults to not eat from early morning to twelve thirty, kids cannot eat when they want to and the cafeteria does not always supply snacks, our lunch time is two hours later than last year, we are going to need snacks; very few children will be able to bring snacks in so with your help, I can feed my students a little something!
Smiles of relief will instantly appear! Students will be able to succeed with confidence. They will be able to concentrate on their lessons and not on their stomachs, lessons including vocabulary and spelling, as well as developing mathematics skills, such as multiplication and long division.
We will survive through your generous donations; you are investing in our future and theirs!
