Help me give my students air fresheners, Takis, Pringles, candy, and pencils so they can be motivated to learn.

My Project

I teach a group of active and diverse 6th graders who are continuously hungry for snacks, even after eating lunch. I have seen that when students are able to have a voice in how they learn and how they are rewarded the positive outcomes for the student and teacher increase. The prizes that our students like and request the most for rewards are snack treats.

The Takis, Jolly Ranchers, fruit snacks, and Pringles I have requested will be used as rewards for learning and behavior goals.

We want to be able to give our students a tangible reward to immediately be able to give them for their hard work because some of them have not learned the value of intrinsic rewards just yet. Plus, who does not like to have a snack after their hard work? Last, but not least, the air fresheners will be used to keep our classroom smelling good because we have a really old building and sometimes when the heater or a/c is running it blows some not so appealing smelling air. Plus, have you been in a room of 28 6th graders after a sweaty day at PE?
