This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My first graders are hopeful, supportive, loving and caring. They are enjoying learning amongst their peers and they are soaking up information like sponges!
They strive to do their best daily and they work to grow their brains.
The effect of the pandemic is apparent, but they won’t let that stop them.
My Project
My students are saving parts of their breakfasts or donating to our class “snack bin” in order to have snack. Our district funded snack doesn’t start until sometime in October & our kiddos get hungry in the morning. They don’t go to lunch until 12:30, so a snack is necessary.
Please help me to provide them with a few snack options before our healthy snack starts up at our school.
I know my students would appreciate it beyond belief. It would be a huge relief for me & it would give them fuel to learn as much as they can in the morning.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
