Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have several immigrant students who are new to our country. Their families are struggling to get settled and meet their basic needs. This project will help newcomer families with food. My students love coming to school and learning! I am requesting snacks and hygiene materials to improve motivation and school success and keep their spaces clean. I will also use the snacks for students who forget theirs.

Many newcomer students don't get enough to eat at home.

They can have breakfast in the morning, such as cereal, pancakes, or waffles. The strawberries will add a little sweetness to our "sweets"! This will help them stay focused and engaged in learning. Providing my students with snacks will give them the energy to concentrate on their work and feel good about participating during class. I appreciate your support!
