My Project

Our students diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum. These food items will serve to feed our classroom students who sometimes have difficulties with their eating. Most individuals diagnosed with ASD are very particular about their eating habits and the textures of their food.

As incentives and rewards, snacks are great motivators for students to stay on task and help them keep their energy up as they navigate through their day.

Having a variety of foods on hand for them to choose from is helpful for this purpose. Also, several of our students are on medication. Having a snack can help with time release delays in the medication that can cause stomach aches and pains throughout the day, which distract from learning.
