My Project

The snacks within this project will help students over the next 3 months meet the basic need of eating. Many of the students come to school without eating and rely on the school lunch program. These snacks will help the students to fill their hunger to allow thought.

It has been shown that if basic needs are not met, education and learning can not take place until met.

These snacks will help the students to fill the empty stomachs and add calories necessary for critical thinking and learning. We typically go through 100-150 granola bars in a weeks time. By providing the variety of snacks, I hope to have this last for about 3 months.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
